[CALL FOR PROJECT DESIGNERS]
SUSTAINABILITY AND LIVING TOGETHER
The multiple award-winning Tivoli Greencity neighbourhood in Laeken sets an example in terms of sustainability, environmental protection, energy consumption reduction, biodiversity, raising awareness and citizen participation. These different objectives are also included in a charter drawn up by citydev.brussels, the Tivoli project owner, to which the inhabitants of the neighbourhood must commit. It is in this exemplary context that the CLTB (Community Land Trust Brussels) acquired a corner plot to develop 22 housing units, corresponding both to its philosophy of living together and to the sustainable characteristics of the neighbourhood.
The plot in question is located not far from Place Bockstael and Rue Marie-Christine, bordered by the canal on the one hand and by the Tour & Taxis site on the other. The CLTB is looking for a multidisciplinary team capable of designing an exemplary and innovative project in the field of circular economy, integrating it into a specific urban context and promoting living together. Particular attention will therefore be paid to the common areas, their spatial qualities and the opportunities for meetings and exchanges that they facilitate. As the project is integrated into the Tivoli Greencity neighbourhood, the sustainability characteristics and urban planning requirements of this new neighbourhood must be respected. The CLTB also wants innovative solutions to be implemented in accordance with the announced budget.
BUDGET: 3.960.000 euros excl. VAT.
FEES: 475.000 euros excluding VAT, or 12% of the works budget.
GRANT: 5000 euros allocated to each team invited to tender and having submitted a valid offer. For the winner, this amount is considered as an advance payment on fees.
The bouwmeester maître architecte accompanies the procedure of the project and will take part in the selection committee and the advisory committee.
