The Montgomery Police Zone is one of the six police zones of the Brussels Region. It covers the territories of the municipalities of Etterbeek, Woluwe-Saint-Pierre and Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, over which its various services are spread. To optimise its operation, the Zone intends to bring together a number of services within a new central police station in Etterbeek, in existing buildings on Avenue de la Force A\u00e9rienne. These buildings were originally built for the army, as was the case for the Baron de Witte de Haelenet and G\u00e9ruzet barracks on the other side of the road. Although the army has left the site, its architectural coherence bears witness to the district\u2019s military history.
\nThe new central police station will be housed in the two buildings on the avenue that the Police Zone already partially occupies. This is an office building dating from the 1980s, which will have to remain partially operational during the works, and a building that originally housed the “army’s bedding and clothing service”. The parking area, next to and behind the main building, also falls within the scope of the project. The services moving into the new police station will have almost 6,100m\u00b2 at their disposal, alongside 150 parking spaces for response vehicles.
\nThe Montgomery Police Zone is looking for a multidisciplinary team to design a functional and efficient working environment, while drawing on the positive characteristics of the site\u2019s existing features, notably the clothing service building.
