Want to know how cooperative living is getting off the ground in other cities? On 13 May, three pioneers from Geneva, Rotterdam and Barcelona will tell how they got to work facing three challenges: land, money and group. Join the movement and register here<\/a>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the canton of Geneva<\/strong>, a new housing policy came into force since the 2000s so that cooperative dwellings currently represent 5% of the city’s rental market, and the cantonal government aspires to increase this share to 10%.<\/p>\n

The Dutch parliament<\/strong> voted to create a National Fund for Housing Cooperatives at the end of 2023, which has now earmarked \u20ac40 million for loans to cooperative housing projects.<\/p>\n

Barcelona<\/strong> launched a government support programme in 2015. Since then, 125 housing units have been completed, 279 are under development and the aim is to reach 600 cooperative housing units by 2030.<\/p>\n
