What does circular architecture look like in Brussels today?<\/p>\n

Over the last two decades, reuse has become a central element of the city’s architectural agenda, adopted by both public and private stakeholders, and stimulated by the BMA. While circularity now occupies a prominent place, it nevertheless takes many forms: from the reuse of materials to the conservation of structures, not forgetting questions of the future adaptability of projects.<\/p>\n

Published by the BMA, The Architecture of Reuse in Brussels explores 14 architectural projects in Brussels, each offering a distinct vision of circularity. The publication aims to demonstrate that circular architecture is not a niche. Although still in its infancy, our ambition in Brussels is to make it the norm.
\nWith projects by 51N4E, AgwA, ATAMA, Anyoji Beltrando, Archipelago, Atelier KANAL, Atelier Kempe Thill, B2Ai, Babini Geysen, BC architects, BC materials, Baukunst, Callebaut, Conix RDBM, EVR, Kaderstudio, Karbon’, Label, NU, Ouest, Rotor, Schenk Hattori, XDGA.<\/p>\n

The book launch was accompanied by a presentation of projects by Steven Schenk (Schenk Hattori Architecture Atelier), Jean Garcin (KARBON architecture et urbanisme), Olivia Noel (RotorDC) and Olivier Cavens (51N4E).<\/p>\n

The evening took place under the superb vaulted ceiling of the top floor of the Belliard-Tr\u00e8ves building, designed and built by Philippe Samyn in 1993.<\/p>\n
