The present contract concerns a mission of expertise, support and facilitation of the Be Sustainable* platform<\/em>. It aims to continue the work of supporting changes in practices in the fields of spatial planning, urban planning and urban regeneration. The objective is twofold: to encourage urban projects in Brussels with strong sustainability and climate ambitions, and to strengthen the autonomy of project leaders in the face of increasingly complex trade-offs, while continuing work in areas of innovation.<\/p>\n

The Be Sustainable platform is a regional tool designed to connect partners, tools, sources of inspiration and knowledge, as well as to provide support services to foster the climate and social transition of neighbourhoods towards greater sustainability. Its operation and ongoing development are managed by the Sustainable Neighbourhoods Facilitator team, in close collaboration with Brussels Environment.<\/p>\n

The objective of the Be Sustainable contract is to replicate the successful and flexible formula of support and training from the previous contracts, while reaffirming innovation as a central driving force (link<\/a> to the previous contract).
\nHowever, for this edition, the amount of the contract is defined on the basis of an hourly rate.
\nIn order to enable candidates to estimate the total annual amount of fees that may be expected, account should be taken of the (estimated or lump-sum) quantities set out in the inventory annexed to the tender documents.
\nPlease also note that the inventory allows for higher orders during the three renewals compared to the base year.<\/p>\n

Brussels Environment is seeking a multidisciplinary team with the following areas of expertise:<\/div>\n

  • Lot 1 \u201cGuidances, Strategic Support for Dissemination and Coordination\u201d <\/strong>
    \n\u2022 Spatial planning, urban regeneration and urban development
    \n\u2022 Client advisory services, expertise or support in project ownership
    \n\u2022 Environmental expertise<\/li>\n
  • Lot 2 \u201cDissemination, Communication, Graphic Design and Web Maintenance\u201d<\/strong>
    \n\u2022 Training
    \n\u2022 Facilitation, participation or collective intelligence processes
    \n\u2022 Organisation of events, training sessions, site visits and workshops
    \n\u2022 Web maintenance
    \n\u2022 Graphic design
    \n\u2022 Communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    This contract is carried out in a single phase during which the candidate will, on the one hand, highlight their technical and professional capacity as well as the composition of the proposed multidisciplinary team. On the other hand, they will explain the methodology, the course of the process and the organisational setup they intend to implement in order to achieve the objectives of the assignment, as well as their understanding of the Be Sustainable mission.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    *Be Sustainable is an initiative of the Brussels-Capital Region, launched under the impetus of the ministers responsible for spatial planning, the environment and urban planning. It is supported by seven regional institutions active in the field of spatial planning and urban revitalisation in Brussels: Brussels Environment, perspective.brussels, the Urban Development Corporation (SAU), urban.brussels, the BMA, the Brussels-Capital Region Housing Corporation (SLRB) and CityDev. <\/em>
