{"id":33038,"date":"2026-05-18T16:15:44","date_gmt":"2026-05-18T14:15:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bma.brussels\/?p=33038"},"modified":"2026-05-18T16:17:42","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T14:17:42","slug":"openplus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bma.brussels\/en\/openplus\/","title":{"rendered":"OPENPLUS"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The \u201cOpenplus Brussels\u201d contract is part of an ambition to extend and strengthen the strategic vision of the \u201cOpen Spaces Network (OSN) in and around Brussels.\u201d This interregional project aims to sustainably connect parks, forests, agricultural areas and natural green spaces in order to create a coherent network of open spaces at the metropolitan scale. In a context of increasing urban densification and growing pressure on environmental resources, this strategy seeks to reinforce the presence of landscape and nature within the city while improving the quality of the living environment.<\/p>\n<p>After a first procurement framework in 2023, Bruxelles Environnement is launching a new purchasing framework to ensure the operational continuity of this landscape policy. This procurement framework serves as an implementation tool to multiply accessible green spaces, strengthen the Green Network and achieve the ambitions of the Renature Plan.<\/p>\n<p>The central ambition of Bruxelles Environnement is to translate this theoretical vision into concrete projects, across different scales and within varied contexts. The procurement framework is structured around two complementary lots:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Lot 1: Visions and masterplans<\/li>\n<li>Lot 2: Studies from preliminary design to execution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>The contracting authority requires an integrated approach in which ecosystem services, such as water management, soil preservation, biodiversity and the mitigation of urban heat islands, are placed at the core of the design process. Beyond environmental concerns, the ambition is also social and participatory: projects should encourage the appropriation of spaces by users and contribute to the creation of high-quality open spaces that respond to the needs of residents and the neighbourhoods concerned.<\/p>\n<p>Bruxelles Environnement is seeking a pool of up to five teams per lot. The subsequent contracts arising from this procurement framework will be awarded to one of the five selected teams on the basis of a mini-competition. The framework agreement will run for a period of two years and may be renewed twice for one additional year.
