The Heyvaert district in Anderlecht, which is mainly known for its second-hand car exports to West Africa, is now literally wedged between the Abattoirs and the Chauss\u00e9e de Mons, but also between the canal and the inner ring road. However, new projects are planned there, thanks to the combination of the Passer Neighbourhood Contract, the Heyvaert-Poincar\u00e9 Urban Renovation Contract and the newcomer PAD Heyvaert. Thus, the idea was born to make the old route of the Petite Senne reappear in a visible and sustainable way, like a linear park.<\/p>\n
The urban fabric in this area is very dense. In order to make the district more heterogeneous and airy, the public authorities are negotiating with the largest landowners to buy or transform several sites. Eventually, the Heyvaert district could thus offer a mix of productive activities and living spaces, as prescribed in the Canal Plan.<\/p>\n
This part of the city is sorely lacking in green spaces. The new linear park of Petite Senne would create a new green network, a gentle connection between the Porte de Ninove and the future metropolitan square planned for Abattoir, but also a breath away from the ordinary streets, between the Porte de Ninove and the already overcrowded Parc de la Ros\u00e9e.<\/p>\n
It is currently impossible to correctly estimate all the parameters of the mission. It is only after the demolition of the buildings along the Senne River that we will know what the level of pollution is and how to treat the party walls. In addition, developments adjacent to the park are planned, but their construction line is not exactly known. Finally, Brussels Environment wishes to close the park at night for security reasons, which requires a tailor-made study around the gates, balustrades and other portals, both in terms of architectural impact and precise location.<\/p>\n
This contract is a framework agreement for a period of at least 5 years. For this exceptional mission, Brussels Environment is looking for a motivated multidisciplinary team with skills in landscaping and public space, architecture and stability, water management, lighting, social and urban planning issues, legal knowledge in urban planning, on-site health and safety.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
