Het Gewest heeft daarop de kans gegrepen om in samenwerking met de Maatschappij voor Stedelijke Inrichting (MSI) een ambitieus project te ontwikkelen. Het MSI heeft het gebouw verworven en heeft een procedure gelanceerd om het pand te verkopen onder voorwaarden en wendt zich hiervoor tot een consortium bestaande uit een private ontwikkelaar en een architect. De uitdaging: het verzoenen van een aantrekkelijk programma voor de wijk met een kwalitatieve architecturale en stedenbouwkundige visie.<\/p>\n<p>De uitdaging is dus meervoudig:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Een juist evenwicht vinden tussen de herwaardering van de bestaande architectuur, binnen een Haussmanniaans stedelijk landschap, maar tegelijkertijd een nieuwe identiteit voor het pand vinden ;<\/li>\n<li>Het ontwikkelen van sterke interacties tussen het gebouw en het omgevende publieke domein ;<\/li>\n<li>Het voorstellen van een gemengd programma bestaande uit woningen, winkels en andere functies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Het adviescomit\u00e9 vond plaats op\u00a017 april 2018.
