The sale and consumption of drugs and narcotics have a major spatial impact, shaping not only social relations but also spatial transpositions.  They leave traces and codify urban space (built and unbuilt). The ‘ovens’ – spaces where multiform transactions occur – can form the basis of an in-depth analysis of the socio-spatial nature of drugs in Brussels.

Romina Cornejo Escudero plans to use the ‘sensitive’ aspect as a tool for understanding, describing and problematising. The expected results consist of unveiling a ‘catalogue’ of situations, urban arrangements and scenarios of cohabiting uses, which will make it possible to highlight the characteristics of drug dealing and using in Brussels.
