CONSTRUCTION TRAINING CENTER

Renovation

The “construction” training activities are currently deployed across different sites (Anderlecht and Laeken) of the PFE (Pôle Formation Emploi) partners. Moreover, these two training sites do not allow for the further development of the training offer, either quantitatively (increase in programming and capacity) or qualitatively (training incorporating new technologies, various specific techniques, and eco-construction).
It is within this context that the present contract for the renovation of the building located on Chaussée de Mons in Anderlecht is being undertaken.

This building was constructed in 1967 on behalf of the National Employment Office (ONEM). It has always been used as a training center, and its architectural design is exceptionally coherent, featuring an administrative section at the front and an “industrial” section at the rear. The planned works would, on the one hand, bring the building up to environmental standards and, on the other hand, reconfigure it through interior adaptations to meet current training needs. Furthermore, the renovation of this building, recognized for its heritage value, represents an opportunity to combine respect for architectural history with adaptation to contemporary requirements.

In addition to high ambitions in terms of circularity and sustainability, the contracting authority will pay particular attention to flexibility. The renovation will provide an opportunity to rethink the use and flexibility of interior spaces. The objective is to enable the building to evolve over time, in line with changing uses and needs.

This renovation project aims to be exemplary, not only in terms of regulatory compliance but also as a living educational tool, serving teaching rooted in the environmental, social, and technical challenges of tomorrow’s construction sector.

Beliris is seeking a multidisciplinary team including, at the application stage, the essential competencies in architecture, structural engineering, and building services engineering to successfully carry out the renovation of this specific building. Other competencies, such as an EPB advisor, acoustics expert, BIM expert, and heritage specialist, will only be required at the tender stage.
