The construction sector, in collaboration with its public partners – Actiris, Bruxelles Formation, EFP and VDAB – shares the common ambition to create, alongside the existing centres, a modern and emblematic training facility for the Pôle Formation Emploi (PFE) Construcity.brussels. This new facility will complement the existing infrastructure and strengthen the sector’s positive image, while addressing both its current and future needs.
Located on a former industrial site in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe, the project aims to concentrate and streamline investments in training and employment within the construction industry. More than just a place of learning, it aspires to be an attractive and driving hub, capable of tackling tomorrow’s key challenges. With this building, the sector intends to broaden its reach and provide the training centre with an additional social dimension. The project will be developed in three phases: a first “Constructiv” phase (outside the current contract), a “Beliris” phase (subject of the present contract), and a “Green space” phase (included in the current study, but to be financed and executed by Constructiv).
The project goes beyond architectural ambitions: flexibility and sustainability are also central objectives. The outdoor spaces will serve as a genuine educational tool, enabling training in soil and water management as well as other specific outdoor activities (such as drone piloting, ecological water management, etc.). The aim is also to create a public park, where training spaces and collective spaces merge and become inseparable.
Beliris is seeking a multidisciplinary team. At the application stage, essential competences in architecture, structural engineering and landscape design are required. Other expertise – such as building services engineering, energy performance consultancy, acoustic engineering, participation facilitation, BIM expertise, and heating/EPB consultancy – will only be needed at the offer stage.
