TRANS-FAIRE: SHIFTING GESTURES AND AESTHETICS

(L'EQUIPE)

The aim of this label is to investigate the possible transfer of know-how between the bodywork trade and architecture in Brussels. A large number of body shops are located along the canal and contribute to local activity in the neighbourhoods. This profession is rarely viewed in a positive light, and a generational divide exists between the status of this trade and its actual social future.

L’EQUIPE has already brought together Brussels bodywork and architecture in one of its projects. It hopes to continue this exploration with a view to renewing the way we look at this trade and finding synergies between this discipline and architecture. Its aim is to encourage reflection on the role that design can play in relation to certain trades, and how it can reinvest tools and techniques. A publication or a digital space could promote this project among the public.
