While exploring the Bizet Square neighborhood, you will find the Résédas Park, nestled in the heart of a block between the Chaussée de Mons and the canal. Although this park is located in the center of the Bizet Sustainable Neighborhood Contract perimeter, it has been identified as one of the “barriers” of the area. The new project launched by the municipality of Anderlecht aims to improve this situation by creating a new access to the park to reduce its isolation. By acquiring the garage on Petite rue du Moulin, which borders the park, the municipality seizes the opportunity to create a new amenity hub linked to the park and its new access.
To strengthen the existing local dynamics in Anderlecht, this new facility will be dedicated to urban agriculture and sustainable food. It will include a nursery, a sales point for local products, storage spaces and support for agricultural functions, as well as a new building housing training spaces, offices, and multipurpose rooms. Through this project, the municipality aims to emphasize sustainability. This means designing a sustainable building, particularly in its technical aspects, and adopting a process that promotes co-creation and the reuse of materials. To this end, a multidisciplinary team will be appointed to refine the site’s programming in collaboration with the non-profit organisations responsible for managing the new Agrorésédas hub.
