Woluwe-Saint-Lambert Police Station is located on Avenue François Debelder in buildings dating from the 1940s that no longer respond to current operational requirements. That is why the local authority is planning to erect a new building that will perfectly serve the needs of visitors and officers. The plot chosen for the new building is a stone’s throw from the current location, on the Athénée Royal de Woluwe-Saint-Lambert plot, next to Wolubilis and the end of the number 8 tram line.
The mission involves designing a project that will respond to the latest operational and security requirements. The project should make it possible to manage flows of police officers effectively while successfully integrating the building into this open context. Furthermore, it is the municipality’s ambition to develop an exemplary project in terms of sustainability, from both a technical and a social perspective as well as in its relationship with the Athénée neighbourhood.
For this mission, the client is seeking a team with expertise in architecture, stability, special techniques, energy efficiency and health & safety coordination.
