PARKING BIZET

MASTERPLAN

At the heart of the Bizet neighborhood, the redevelopment of the underutilized Bizet parking is one of the planned operations under the Sustainable Neighborhood Contract “Bizet”. Strategically located between the northern parks, Place Bizet, and the canal to the south, this project aims to transform a parking space into a multifunctional center.

The goal is to create an inclusive environment that meets the diverse needs of the neighborhood, including housing for victims of violence, a social house, a daycare center, a versatile sports hall, a community center, and social housing.

Regarding open spaces, the parking is intended to become an additional link for active transportation modes as envisioned in the Neighborhood Contract. These new uses will enhance the flow of users to Place Bizet and its commercial activities, thus consolidating its central role in the neighborhood.

Due to the multifaceted nature of the program, the development of a masterplan is essential before any intervention on the site. This will ensure coherence throughout the operation, guarantee smooth passage through the site, and facilitate the harmonious integration of new buildings.

From an environmental perspective, the project is ambitious in order to make it an exemplary and sustainable development.
