The Université Libre de Bruxelles is considering relocating its faculty of pharmacy. It currently occupies 6,300m² in the BC building at the heart of the Plaine campus in Ixelles. The university wants to bring it closer to the other faculties that make up the health cluster on the Erasmus campus in Anderlecht. This will facilitate collaboration within the cluster, creating synergies in the teaching provided by the university, but also in research and logistical areas (staff, infrastructure). This relocation is also an opportunity to improve conditions for students, whose numbers have been growing steadily for several years.
To assist the ULB in this project, the task consists of carrying out a programming and urban feasibility study for the relocation of the faculty. The programming component will make it possible to determine the faculty’s needs, both in its current structure and in its planned medium-term development, and to arrive at a clear programming proposal for the future building. In addition to administrative and teaching spaces, the building will house a large number of laboratories and related functions. The possibility of student accommodations and the general functions related to the Health Centre will also be taken into account in the study.
As for the urban planning aspect, this aims to determine the location of the faculty within the campus. The study will determine different implementation scenarios, which will be compared with each other and budgeted for. These scenarios may concern one or more sites, it being understood that the courses offered by the faculty will not necessarily be together in a single building. Finally, the study will be based on the ULB Guide Plan for the Erasmus campus.

- The fees are fixed at € 100.000 excl. VAT
- For this mission, a grant of € 1.000 will be awarded to each team invited to tender that submits a regular bid but is not finally selected.
