To grow up and to meet

Construction of a community centre and an early childhood facility

The project is part of the dynamics of the Conscience Sustainable Neighbourhood Contract. The Municipality of Evere aims to develop a local facility bringing together a 35-place daycare centre and multi-purpose spaces for local associations. Located near the Town Hall, the project seeks to address childcare needs while creating new spaces for activities and exchanges for local residents.

The site is characterised by a large blank wall and offers the opportunity to complete an unfinished street frontage. The project will improve not only the image of the street, but also the quality of views and surrounding spaces. In addition, the building will activate the green areas around the Town Hall and create new connections at the scale of the neighbourhood .

The Municipality of Evere is seeking a multidisciplinary team for a full design commission covering the design and implementation of this facility and its surroundings. Beyond responding to the programme requirements, the challenge will be to propose an architecture attentive to the quality of use, integration within its context, and the principles of sustainability, circular economy, and bioclimatic design.
