JOSAPHAT

JOSAPHAT SITE – PUBLIC SPACES AND INFRASTRUCTURES

Over the coming years, the Josaphat railway brownfield will undergo significant real estate developments and will be converted into a sustainable neighbourhood that straddles the municipalities of Schaerbeek and Evere. The urbanisation of the entire area is managed by the Urban Development Corporation (SAU) across several distinct phases. In order to better articulate these different projects, Beliris is responsible for the preliminary task of making the site viable and creating the main public spaces, including two railway crossings and public amenities for the park.

Beliris is looking for a multi-disciplinary team in order to lead this mission and follow-up the works. Over the course of this mission, the team must adapt and re-evaluate the project in sinc with the development of the territory so that the neighbourhood’s development is based on the needs identified, while maintaining a strong urban and landscape concept to structure the overall area. The project must reflect the strong and exemplary ambitions regarding urban, landscape, architectural and environmental planning.
