VANDENSCHRIECK

The Municipal Prevention Service and the non-profit association l’Oranger, a youth support service in Brussels, are currently located in a series of dilapidated buildings of the municipality. The latter wants to develop a project on the site where a number of dwellings will be realized and also the current users and the Department for Victim Support, Mediation and Alternative Measures of the municipality of Jette will find a new home. To this end, the municipality appointed Citydev as delegated builder.

This project comprises several challenges. The site at the back is in line with that of Jette’s OCMW. One of the challenges will be to make a connection between the two plots while maintaining sufficient intimacy for the houses. In addition, efforts must be made to establish a clear address for the various services and the various flows of users must be organised in an efficient manner. Finally, the site is currently the only green lung in the Vandenschrieckstraat, a character that should be preserved as much as possible.

Citydev is therefore looking for a multidisciplinary team (architecture, stability, special techniques, landscape, EPB, acoustics, safety and health) to bring this project to a successful conclusion.
