The youth park is located in an urban renewal zone, at the intersection of different neighbourhoods and atmospheres: a nursing home, several schools, residential towers, the cemetery, the station, Baudouin Park, etc. The park is therefore a place of meeting, exchange and sport practice. There are tennis courts, a basketball court, a health trail, a miniature golf course and a skate park. However, this is in poor condition, not very accessible for young children and outdated.
The municipality of Jette is planning a partial reconstruction of the park and wants to create a new skate park on an unused tennis court. The space must be skatable, but should also be suitable for BMX, scooting and roller skating. It should primarily be a public space, accessible and usable by everyone.
