ARCADIA

HAPPY OLD AGE

On the edge of the Scheutbos, on the regional border, lies the Arcadia rest and care home that is run by the CPAS / OCMW of Molenbeek. In order to diversify the housing supply and to better match the multitude of individual housing needs, the SLRB / BGHM wants to build 44 community residences for the elderly and some facilities on the corner of the same plot as Arcadia within the framework of the Alliance for Living. The whole will be managed by the CPAS / OCMW. The aim is to give future tenants a certain degree of autonomy while avoiding isolation by promoting community life. That is why the proposed program is mixed and emphasizes the interaction and shared use between the housing, the multifunctional hall and the workshops for the CPAS / OCMW, all with a beautiful view of the park and the green surroundings of the district.

For this assignment, the SLRB / BGHM is looking for a multidisciplinary design team (architecture, stability, special techniques, EPB advisor, safety coordinator, landscape architect), in charge of the complete mission of study and follow-up of the works.
