HAUTE 275

SIMPLE AND COMPLEX

The Marolles district is the subject of a series of housing developments under the Sustainable Neighbourhood Contract. And it is once again rue Haute which is concerned here for a project to build 9 housing units at numbers 275-281. A project that seems quite ordinary on the surface but which, when you look at it more closely, turns out to be quite complex. Indeed, the two contiguous parcels covered by this mission house, on the one hand, the offices and workshops of the CPAS of the City of Brussels and, on the other hand, the playground and sports hall of the Baron Steens school inside the urban block. The challenge will be to build the housing on the street front and on the CPAS building while maintaining access to the sports hall. A superurban context, therefore, where the objective will be to achieve a harmonious cohabitation between the functions.

The City of Brussels is looking for a multidisciplinary team (architect, special techniques engineer, acoustic engineer, EPB advisor) to carry out this mission.
